Ghuggi started his career as a Punjabi actor in Jalandhar Doordarshan Tele-films. He appeared in a lead role in a TV soap opera Parchhaven, produced by Jalandhar Doordarshan. However, he received much attention only after participating in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge reality show on STAR One TV. He later appeared in another show Hans Baliye on Star One TV with his wife Kuljeet Kaur and won the contest. He has acted as a comedian in Bollywood movies and Punjabi movies as such, Namastey Lon
