The actress was born on 1 May 1987, in the city of Wolverhampton in the UK. Her real name is Mandeep Thanks and her nickname is dips. Before the actress’s birth, her parents resided in Maliana (Phagwara) but facing business issues her family shift to England. She lived with her parents in the UK till she was 17 years old and shifted to London at the age of 17 to study drama at Kingston University. On weekends the actress used to attend Punjabi literature classes to stay connected to her roots. Later actress came to India to pursue her acting career.

The actress debuted in Tamil movie industry with Venkat Prabhu’s biryani movie. Apart from this actress appeared in many movies such as Bamboo, Sadi wakhri Shaan, Mirza the untold story.
